Error Type 11 (Macintosh) FAQ

If Modulus unexpectedly quits with error type 11, the cause is usually a clash with the Mac TCP control panel. This occurs if using a System between 7.1 and 7.5.1.

The Mac TCP allows access to the internet. If you do not need this, it is recommended that you remove the Mac TCP control panel from all machines using Modulus, including the server.

If you do need access to the internet, it is recommended that when using Modulus you disable the Mac TCP control panel on all machines including the server. This is done using the Extensions Manager control panel. On each machine, switch off Mac TCP and restart, before using Modulus. When it is necessary to use the internet, go back to the Extensions Manager, switch on Mac TCP and restart.

Error type 11 can also be caused on a Power PC by the Modern Memory Manager . This should be turned off using the Memory control panel. Again, this error only occurs when using a System between 7.1 and 7.5.1.
